David Bloor (b. 1942) – is an English sociologist and psychologist of science. Bloor was among the group of sociologists, who in the late 70's initiated the development of cognitive sociology of science. He is a specialist in the field of sociology of science, particularly mathematics, knowledge. Blur is an author of so-called "strong program" in the sociology of knowledge, which aim is the elimination of barriers to the sociological study of scientific knowledge. Bloor does not deny the objectivity of knowledge, but believes that objectivity is a social one and is expressed in the impersonal, regardless of personal preference of the subject.
